St.Helens Women’s back-rower Paige Travis speaks ahead of returning to Wembley Stadium to fight for the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup.
After missing last year’s final while playing in the NRLW in Australia, Travis admitted it was difficult watching from the other side of the world as her beloved teammates fell short in making it five Cups in a row.
Now back in the Red V, Travis declares how determined the team is to put that disappointment behind them and reclaim the trophy.
Travis praised the progress Wigan have made over the past couple of seasons, and believes the Warriors have grown into a more mature and organised side, making them one of the toughest teams in the competition.
Since returning to the Club, Travis says she has quickly settled back into the close-knit environment within the Saints camp. Reuniting with teammates and coaching staff she knows well has helped make the transition feel natural, while excitement around the Final continues to build.
A visit to Wembley also helped bring the occasion into focus, with our #14 opening up about the feeling of walking out through the tunnel again and how special the stadium remains every time the team visits.
