The Saints’ push for the play-off places continues and was given a boost last time out with an impressive 16-46 away victory against Wakefield. The aim was to continue that winning form, but this time on home turf against the Tigers.
Castleford came into the fixture in a positive mood too, after beating Hull FC away 14-18. The Fords came to the BrewDog Stadium, looking to do a league double over the Red V for the first time since 1990/1991.
In the two sides’ last meeting, the Tigers put in one of their most impressive performances of the season at The OneBore Stadium, winning 30-10. So a bit of revenge might have been on the cards for O’Carroll’s men.
