Newly appointed St.Helens Women’s Head Coach Alan Hunte has sat down with Saints TV to give his first thoughts after taking on the role at the Club.
A legendary former Saint, Hunte returns to the Red V having made 244 appearances for the Club, scoring an incredible 189 tries during a glittering playing career. A proud member of the Saints Hall of Fame, he enjoyed success in the Premiership, Super League and Challenge Cup.
Since hanging up his boots, Hunte has built up an extensive coaching background, including working within the England international pathways system, where he helped develop a number of players who have gone on to represent their country.
Now back at the Club in a new capacity, Hunte discusses his excitement at taking charge of the Women’s First Team, his ambitions for the squad and what Saints supporters can expect as he begins this new chapter.
