St.Helens Women’s star winger Leah Burke sadly missed out due to injury last year’s Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final, but she’s in contention to feature this year and is excited at the prospect of it!
Leah suffered an ACL injury which ruled her out for the majority of the 2023 season, however she did go with the squad – just not on the field which was tough to take.
Burke worked hard on her rehab to return and with a number of matches under her belt she began aiming to get herself into Matty Smith’s matchday squad if we made it to the Cup Final.
A try-scorer in the Semi-Final to book our return to the national stadium, Burke is now thrilled at the thought of being able to run out there on arguably the world’s most famous pitch.
