Our prop forward lead out St.Helens for the first time as Captain at Magic WKND and it was a bittersweet occasion.
Whilst Lees took great pride in being able to be Captain, the team did suffer a defeat to our old rivals Wigan Warriors at Elland Road. Matty reviews that game honestly, and talks about what it meant to him to get the nod of Paul Wellens.
We’re in the run-in period now of the 2024 season, and whilst we are still battling Saints players being unavailable due to injury, men like Lees have been rolling up their sleeves to give all they can and guide us through this difficult period. Matty talks about the efforts of the middles who are doing it tough in this period.
