Our Members’, Players’ and Player of the Year in 2024, Matty Lees is one of the very best props in the Betfred Super League.
In a season that presented plenty of challenges, Lees stepped up as a leader in the middle of the field and was a justly deserved winner of three awards at the Saints’ 2024 annual presentation evening.
Whilst big minutes have not been uncommon to the prop in the past, he has done so many big shifts this year that our fans, his teammates and his coaches all took notice on just how important Matty is to our team.
The starting England prop, Lees’ efforts are not focused on the tries or the flair plays, but the effort based hard work in the middle of the field. And you can expect even more from our engine-like forward next season!
