After making a try-scoring First Team return from injury against Hull KR, Deon Cross spoke to Saints TV.
Cross played his first senior Saints match for a couple of months after suffering a Lisfranc injury, and match minutes came in the Reserves but he was pleased to be back in the Super League team selection.
After grabbing our late try thanks to a beauty of a kick from Jack Welsby, Cross believed the Saints could still maybe pinch a win against the league leaders, but it was not to be.
With The Derby to come next week, as a St Helens man, Deon is relishing the prospect of being selected to play, so wants to hold his hand up and show Head Coach Paul Wellens that he should play in that game. A match he knows means more to every Saint supporter.
