St.Helens back-rower Matt Whitley speaks ahead of The Derby against Wigan, and the team’s desire during The Final Charge.
With a Play-Offs spot secured, the Red V are battling it out with the rest of the qualified sides in the top six for as high a position as possible before the knockout stages. Whitley believes the Saints have it in them to have a big end to the season, with three tough games still to be played in the regular season.
Up next, it’s The Derby, and as a Saints supporter growing up he doesn’t need reminding just how important these games are against our fiercest rivals.
Reflecting on last week’s efforts against Hull KR, Whitley talks positively about the defensive effort and the Play-Off style intensity being good experience to draw upon as we prepare to take on Wigan.
Whitley urged supporters to arrive early and make plenty of noise for the team all night long, as we all look to play our part.
