Harry Robertson became the sixth St.Helens player to win the Super League Young Player of the Year Award, and Saints TV spoke to our young star, after receiving his prize.
There is plenty of brilliant young talent emerging across the clubs in the Betfred Super League, which led to a very strong shortlist for the 2025 Young Player of the Year Award at the 2025 Rugby League Awards Night.
Robertson was the chosen winner over Hull FC’s Lewis Martin, Huddersfield’s George Flanagan, and Wigan’s Junior Nsemba. So, being named as the recipient from such an impressive set of nominees was not lost on Harry, who praised his fellow nominees. He was also quick to credit his Saints teammates around the same age, with the likes of George Whitby, Owen Dagnall, and Noah Stephens all pushing to be their best too within our club.
The night was one for Harry to remember. He got to see former Saints Academy talent now Swintion Lions player Louie Roberts win the Betfred League One Young Player of the Year Award following an impressive season, and share his own winning evening alongside the iconic James Roby and our Chairman Eamonn McManus.
Harry shared his appreciation for the wonderful backing he has received from supporters this season, and he laid down his goal of making it into the England team — if not this year, then within the next twelve months.
