It was a try-scoring introduction for Nene Macdonald on his first appearance as a St.Helens player, and Saints TV caught up with our new number #25.
Getting to take to the field for the first time in front of Saints supporters as a Saints player was a nice moment for Macdonald, who wants to be playing consistent rugby after a tough year with Salford Red Devils last year.
Pre-season has been good for the Papua New Guinean international to get to integrate with his new teammates and coaching staff.
It was a special afternoon for Matty Lees, and Nene talked about the captain after playing alongside him for the very first time.
