St.Helens’ star hooker Daryl Clark spoke to Saints TV following the win over Catalans Dragons in Round 3 of Betfred Super League 2026.
Scoring two tries in the 4-36 victory ensured for ‘Daz’ that it would be a special night for his 350th Super League appearance, and he was rightly both the broadcast and fans’ Player of the Match following his strong performance in France. The hooker remains feeling good with what he brings to the team and wants to keep chalking up those milestones.
Describing the first half as scrappy from both sides, Clark believed the Saints showed good improvement after the break, finding more rhythm and control to pull away on the scoreboard.
With injuries in the squad, Clark has taken on bigger minutes in recent weeks, a task he is happy to do. There are also more combinations growing within the squad, despite those injuries, highlighted by a well-worked move from training field that led to Jacob Host’s try.
After the final whistle, Daryl went to thank all of our travelling Saints supporters who made the journey to France, recognising the effort it takes at this time of year.
