Heading into the ninth round of fixtures, Saints sat in second spot in the table just one point off leaders Wigan, and a win would take Saints to the top of the table with three more matches to be played.
Last time out, Derek Hardman’s Reserves had their five match winning run brought to an end, being just edged out at the Halliwell Jones Stadium against Warrington.
