Watch the highlights of the Saints Academy team’s derby day clash against Wigan Warriors in Round 9 of the 2025 Academy Championship season.
Both Saints and Wigan are fiercely proud of the rugby league talent produced that has come through both our Academy setups, and gone on to become key men in our First Teams. Academy Derby matches are often the chance to see players who will be lining up in Super League matches in the not too distant future.
The Saints Academy had their five-match winning run ended in their previous fixture against Leeds Rhinos, so held a record of five wins and three losses going into The Derby. The Warriors also had same win/loss record.
