Our young side were on the hunt for a third successive Academy Grand Final appearance after finishing third in the league table after the regular season came to a close, with eight wins in the twelve round competition.
Derek Traynor’s Saints last time out went away to Hull KR and booked their place in the Play-Offs with a 0-38 victory.
Taking on second placed Leeds Rhinos at AMT Headingley Stadium, it was set up to be a brilliant youth contest between two clubs that pride themselves on developing talent.
