It was Round 8 of the Betfred Women’s Super League season, with Derek Hardman & Craig Richards’ Saints looking to maintain pace near the top of the table, and continue the unbeaten run in the league so far.
Coming on the back of a hard-fought win away at Leeds, the Red V returned home to the Totally Wicked Stadium after almost a month away.
Leigh, the new team in the WSL in 2025, were out to get their third win of the campaign, following on from victories over Barrow and Warrington.
