Following their victory last time out over Bradford Bulls, the Saints were sat in third place heading into the final round, level on league points with both Wigan and Huddersfield in fourth and fifth.
The Academy Play-Offs are to be contested with the top four teams following twelve rounds, and the fight for those spots is going right down to the wire.
Hull KR lost out to the second-placed Leeds Rhinos last time out, and on their own turf sought to finish 2025 with a win.
