Finch Farm, the training ground for the Everton FC first team, welcomed Saints last week for a field session on their impressive indoor, heated 4G roofed pitch.
Aside from the Rugby League World Cup England internationals, who will return to training in the new year, the whole squad were in attendance and enjoyed a tough, but enjoyable session.

Wellens concluded the day by presenting Everton FC with a signed 2022 playing jersey as a way of thanking them for their hospitality.
“The weather conditions means it is difficult to get out on the field so it was a great opportunity for us to utilise a facility like this at Everton, said Wellens. “We must pay a huge thanks to them for allowing us to use this a facility.”
“It is great to know that we have sports clubs on our doorsteps willing to help us out. It is always key we keep things fresh and you can do that in a number of ways, but one of those is a change of venue. It is great for the lads to come down and experience this and we have thoroughly enjoyed it.
“You can learn so much from different sports so to have a relationship with Everton can only benefit us moving forward.”
The Club would like to pay thanks to everyone at Finch Farm for hosting us.
